Fire Protection





Passive fire protection is an integral component of the three components of structural fire protection and fire safety in a building. PFP attempts to contain fires or slow the spread, for example through use of fire-resistant walls, floors, and doors. Once a fire has started, flames may escape through openings and spread to the storey above. Fire protection measures are consequently compulsory for multi-storey buildings. With EPS insulation, a non-combustible mineral wool strip prevents flames from spreading over the entire facade.

Fire dampers (circular or rectangular) are passive fire protection products used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) ducts and are designed for air duct installation in fire resistance walls or floors. Tested and classified EI-S both sides, thermal and cold smoke leakage resistance, in accordance with EN 1366-2 and EN 13501-3 regulations for vertical and horizontal installation.

Casing made with galvanized carbon steel, thermal labyrinth obtained without the using of additional layers or materials on the casing, 25 mm thick closing blade made with refractory material, lip seal on blade border for cold smoke seal, internal resistance to cold smoke leakage trough the blade closed at a depression and over pressure of not less than 500 Pa, internal intumescent graphite gasket for hot smoke seal when the blade is closed.

The pipe collars have been specifically designed to re-instate the fire resistance of a wall or floor which has been penetrated by plastic flammable pipes used in soil, waste and drainage services. They will seal closed flammable pipes and can be face fixed in a wall or ceiling structure. They are suitable for use on concrete, masonry and plasterboard partitions.

The pipe collars have been tested to BS EN 1366-3: 2009 and has a European Classification in accordance with BS EN 13501-2: 2007–A1: 2009 (Fire classification of construction products and building elements. Classification using data from fire resistance tests, excluding ventilation services). They have a fire rating of up to 4 hours.





A comprehensive range of 30 and 60 minute fire rated air transfer grilles designed for use in fire resisting doorsets and compartment walls. When dormant the grilles enable air to be circulated throughout the building, in the event of a fire they are designed to close and restrict the flow of hot gases and fire.
